1:48 B-26G Marauder TFace is a sheet of cut masks for the glazing of a model of this bomber; the designation TFace means masking from both sides of the glass.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet of cut self-adhesive masks by the Czech maker Eduard is prepared for the glazed areas of a model of the American medium bomber Martin B-26G. The abbreviation in the designation means that the set deals with the outer and the inner side of the glazing alike, so the frames can be sprayed from both directions and the pilot's station will not stay translucent.
The glazed nose and the extensive canopy of the cabin are among the most conspicuous places on the whole model of this type. When the framing is painted only from the surface, clear plastic shows through the glass and the front end looks unfinished. The counterpart pieces make it possible to pick the frames out in the color of the interior even before the clear parts are seated into the fuselage, and the result matches the real aircraft, where the frame was painted from both sides.
Lift the individual pieces off with tweezers and press them down with a toothpick along the whole length of the frame, so that no paint seeps under the edge. Apply thinly and in several passes; the first coat can be the shade of the cabin, the second the outer camouflage. Remove the masks while the film is still flexible, as once it has cured completely the varnish underneath can come away with them. It pays to cover the large areas in the middle of the glazing with paper, so that material is not used up needlessly.
The package contains only the sheets with the masks. There are no plastic parts, paints or glue in it.
