A pair of resin B-8V20A unguided rocket pods in 1:48 scale. A universal underwing store for helicopter kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The B-8V20A is an 80 mm unguided rocket pod intended for helicopters. It carries twenty S-8 rockets in tube launchers arranged into a cylindrical body and is one of the most commonly seen underwing stores on Russian attack and multi-role aircraft. On a model, it is a prominent assembly that catches the eye at first glance.
The package contains two B-8V20A pods in 1:48 scale. The resin rendering allows for open launch tube ends and thin front contours, so there is no need for the drilling and cleanup that a plastic part usually requires. The set is universal and fits kits from various manufacturers.
First dry-fit the pods to the pylon and check that they are aligned and at the same height on both sides. They are glued with cyanoacrylate or epoxy glue; polystyrene cement does not bond with resin. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, then apply a primer. The launch tube ends stand out once, after the top coat has dried, you lightly touch them with a dark shade applied in drops into the recesses.
The set is suited to modelers building a helicopter in combat configuration, and to anyone bothered by the blanked-off ends on plastic pods. Since the package already contains two pieces, it is enough for one aircraft with symmetrical armament, without buying a second set. The package contains only the listed accessory parts. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
