1:48 B6N1/2 Tenzan, a self-adhesive Dead Design masking set for spraying the large cabin canopy of the carrier bomber Nakajima B6N Tenzan in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely cut self-adhesive Dead Design masks for masking the glazing of a model of the Japanese carrier bomber Nakajima B6N Tenzan in 1:48 scale. The set is a masking accessory for a kit: it will help you spray the frames of the long cabin canopy quickly, straight and with no paint creep.
The Nakajima B6N Tenzan (carried by the Allies under the code name Jill) was the successor to the proven B5N type in the role of carrier-borne torpedo bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy. With a stronger engine and higher speed it entered service in the later phase of the war in the Pacific. The crew of three sat under a continuous, richly divided canopy; on a model that means dozens of small panes, whose masking by hand is tedious and prone to mistakes.
Lift the masks off the sheet with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel, seat them on the matching pane and smooth the edges down. Usually the interior shade is sprayed first (it forms the inner color of the frames), then the external camouflage. Once dry, carefully take the masks off; the lines of the frames stay sharp and uniform along the whole length of the cabin.
This is a masking accessory: the airplane kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
