1:48 BAC/EE Canberra B.2/B.20 (outside and inside masks) is a self-adhesive masking set from the Polish maker Montex for painting the glazing frames. It is not a model and not a kit, but an accessory for a 1:48 model you already own.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks for the cockpit canopy and the glazing of the Canberra bomber in the B.2 and B.20 versions. These are masks for the outside and the inside of the glazing, so the frames come out clearly from both views. The masks are shaped to the particular outline of the parts; you lay them on clean transparencies and cover the remaining area with ordinary tape or liquid mask.
The Canberra was the first British jet bomber to enter regular service, at the start of the 1950s. The B.2 version became the main early bomber variant, with a glazed forward fuselage for the navigator and bomb aimer, complemented by a separate bubble canopy for the pilot. The designation B.20 was carried by machines built under license in Australia. It is precisely the combination of a glazed nose and a separate canopy that makes the Canberra an aircraft on which cutting tape by hand takes a lot of time.
First rid the glazing of fingerprints and grease, ideally with lukewarm water and a drop of detergent, then dry it. Lift the mask off its carrier film with pointed tweezers or a stick, lay it on dry and press it down with a soft tool over its whole area so that paint does not run under the edge. Spray the paint in thin coats, starting with the interior shade on the inside frames and only then the outer camouflage finish. Take the masks off while the paint is merely set or freshly dried; you can score the edge with a sharp point so that the painted layer is not torn away.
The package holds masking templates only. The kit, paints and other accessories are not part of it.
