This resin set from the Czech maker CMK replaces the main wheels of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-9D fighter in 1:48 scale. The castings faithfully capture the tread pattern of the tires and the detail of the hubs. It is not a model but an accessory that sharpens up a plastic kit.
The Yak-9 was one of the most widespread Soviet fighters of the Second World War. The Yak-9D version was a fighter with extended range thanks to enlarged fuel tanks. Realistically rendered wheels are a clearly visible detail of the landing gear on a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks, leveling the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; tone the tires in a matte dark gray and the hubs according to the scheme you choose.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue. It is not a model in its own right but a set of replacement wheels.
