Messerschmitt Bf 108B Taifun 1:48 — a photo-etched detail set from Eduard. It is not an airplane model but an accessory to a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 108B Taifun touring and liaison aircraft in 1:48 scale. The set adds fine photo-etched parts which replace and supplement the plastic parts of the kit and raise the fidelity of the finished model. It is not a model in its own right but an accessory to the matching kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun was a German all-metal multi-seat touring and liaison low-wing monoplane from the 1930s. It stood out for a clean design by the standards of its day, for retractable landing gear and for good flying qualities. In design terms it foreshadowed the later Bf 109 fighter, and it served in civilian and military roles alike.
Separate the individual parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and clean up the cut edges. Make the bends over a bending tool or a metal ruler, so that they come out clean and accurate. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate); ordinary cement for plastic will not hold photo-etched parts. We recommend painting the parts before fitting them and matching them to the model. The set is meant for more advanced modelers used to working with small photo-etched items.
This is not an aircraft model but a photo-etched detail set for the matching kit in the given scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the glue, the paints and the kit itself are not included in the package.
