This product is not an airplane model but a set of accurately cast resin barrels for the gun armament in 1:48 scale. It replaces the plastic parts from the box and gives a Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 model finer and more accurately shaped armament.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 carried an engine-mounted cannon and synchronized machine guns above the engine, whose covers gave the type a nickname that refers to the prominent bulges. Faithful barrels add to the overall impression of a model.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks carefully, wash off the release agent and glue them with super glue. The thin barrels are fragile, so handle them carefully. Painting in metal shades and a fine wash will bring the details out.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
