The masking set 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf-109G (all versions) from the Peewit brand. A modeling accessory for clean masking of the glazing and other surfaces while painting; it is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit of the aircraft. The set from the Peewit brand holds pre-shaped self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale with which the surfaces that are to stay clean are covered before spraying. According to the name it is cut for the Bf-109G versions in general. The plastic model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Bf-109G was the most numerously built development series of the German single-seat Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter. Compared with the older versions it got the more powerful liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 605 inverted V12, which called for changes to the cowling and a strengthening of the structure. Early machines of the G series can be told by the bulges over the weapons bay on the upper side of the nose, later ones by the taller vertical tail surface and a differently shaped canopy. The shape of the canopy is the key thing for masking, because it differs between the individual subversions.
Degrease the glazing before sticking the masks on and let it dry out completely. Place the masks with tweezers and press them down with a wooden stick or a soft tool, so that they sit down all the way around the frame. Spray the paint in thin layers perpendicular to the edge of the mask, otherwise mist can get underneath. Take them off soon after the paint has dried, and rather by pulling them back across themselves than straight up. It is a good idea to spray the frames first in the interior shade and only then in the outer camouflage finish.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The plastic model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. We recommend checking the fit with your kit before buying.
