Quickboost 1:48 Bf 109E exhausts is a resin accessory with faithfully cast exhaust stubs for a plastic model of this German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand, not a stand-alone model of the airplane. The set replaces the exhaust stubs of the plastic kit with finely cast resin parts with hollow mouths. Once built in and painted it gives the sides of the engine area of a model a markedly more realistic look.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was a German single-seat fighter with a Daimler-Benz inverted V12 engine. It was one of the main German fighters at the start of the Second World War and in the air battle of 1940. It was marked by a more angular shape of the nose than the later, aerodynamically cleaned-up versions.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the mouths of the exhausts in shades of rust and burnt metal and pick them out with a dark wash.
This is a resin accessory for more experienced modelers, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
