A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the exhaust pipes of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109F (Friedrich) fighter in 1:48 scale. The resin exhausts have an accurate shape, deepened openings and fine texture that the plastic parts from the box usually only suggest. The set is meant for advanced modelers with resin experience.
The exhausts are among the most closely watched details on the sides of the fuselage, and the way they are rendered strongly affects how realistic the result looks. The Friedrich version was the aerodynamically cleaned-up development of the 109, with rounded wingtips and the DB 601 engine. Hollow exhaust openings and fine texture, painted in metallic and rust shades with light weathering, look far better than solid plastic stubs.
