An aftermarket resin set, not an airplane model. It contains pitot tubes, that is the airspeed sensors placed on the leading edge of the wing of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 F and G series fighters. The fine resin parts replace the plastic rendering, too heavy for the scale, from the kit and refine the look of a model in 1:48.
The Bf 109 was among the most widespread fighters of the Second World War. The F (Friedrich) and G (Gustav) series were the most numerous versions; their pitot tube was a small but conspicuous detail on the wing. The correct thickness and shape of this element markedly lift the realism of a finished model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them carefully from the casting blocks. Given their small size, work with tweezers and a magnifier. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and fit the sensor as one of the last steps, so that it is not damaged during handling.
