Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for a model of the Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C/D in 1:48 scale. The masks go onto the clear cockpit part and onto the other areas that are to stay free of paint, and are lifted once the spraying is done. The ADVANCED level is the middle one in the New Ware range of BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT; the levels differ in the extent of the set. The package contains no model, paints or glue.
The real subject
The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British twin-engine strike aircraft, originally designed to operate from the decks of Royal Navy aircraft carriers. The S.2 version received Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engines, blown flaps and a fuselage shaped according to the area rule. The S.2C and S.2D designations were carried by navy aircraft, with the S.2D adapted to carry guided missiles. The Buccaneer specialized in reaching its target at low level and high speed, typically over the sea.
How to use the masks
Degrease the clear part first and let it dry. Transfer the mask with tweezers, seat it in place and press the edges down carefully with a rounded tool so that no paint seeps under them. Spray the shade of the inner frames first and only then the exterior color. Lift the masks shortly after the finish has dried, while the adhesive is still pliable, rather than after several weeks. The tape holds reliably and can still be lifted without damaging the clear part.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
