A set of photo-etched parts in 1:48 scale for a model of the British light bomber Bristol Blenheim Mk.I. It completes the fine details that a plastic part cannot carry.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bristol Blenheim Mk.I is a British twin-engined light bomber from the second half of the 1930s. It arose from a fast transport aircraft and at the time it came about it was among the fastest machines of its class, except that the armament of fighters caught up with it within a few years and its commitment became extremely dangerous for the crews. The crew was made up of three men. The Mk.I version still has a short glazed nose ending in front of the pilot cabin, and on the back of the fuselage it carries a rotating gun turret. Because of the extent of the glazing there is a view inside on a finished model, so fine fitting out of the cabin really does come into its own.
Photo-etched parts of thin sheet in 1:48 scale. Etching steps in everywhere injection-molded plastic is too thick for its task: on the seatbelts, the instrument panel and its instruments, the levers and controls, the bulkheads, the grilles and the perforated parts. Which range the set covers and which kit it is cut for are stated in the instructions from the manufacturer.
Separate the elements with the cut of a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by bending them back and forth. Lead the bends along the marked groove, best of all in a bending tool or over a sharp edge. The etching is glued with super glue applied in minute drops, because glue for plastics does not hold on metal. Degrease the parts before painting and apply a base coat intended for metal. Finish and paint the interior before you cement the halves of the fuselage together, because afterward you will no longer get inside.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
