Bristol Blenheim Mk.I, double-sided painting mask 1:48 (Art Scale) is a set of self-adhesive masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing. An accessory for a build, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut painting masks for the Bristol Blenheim Mk.I model in 1:48 scale in the double-sided version. The sheet contains parts for the outer and the inner side of the glazing, so the framing can be sprayed in the interior shade from inside and in the covering color from outside. On an aircraft with a glazed nose and a gun turret the inside of the frames is clearly visible, so the difference from the single-sided variant is noticeable. It is not a kit or a finished model but an accessory for painting.
Wash, degrease and dry the clear part completely. Take the masks out of the sheet with a scalpel, lay them on the frame and press them down with a soft wooden stick so that the edge adheres along its whole length. Trim any overhang past the edge of the part with a fresh blade along the outline. Spray the inner side in the interior shade first, let it dry and only then mask and spray the outside. Lay the paint on in thin coats with a short flash-off in between. Lift the mask right after it is dry to the touch and pull it back at an angle over itself.
The Bristol Blenheim Mk.I was a British twin-engine light bomber from the second half of the 1930s with Bristol Mercury radial engines. The glazed nose and the dorsal turret give the model a large area of glazing with a great many small frames, and masking them with tape by hand takes a lot of time and rarely comes out evenly.
The mask is an accessory, not a kit. The model, paints, glue and thinners are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
