Tamiya 1:48 British 2t 4x2 Ambulance is a plastic kit of a British military ambulance of the Second World War, including a driver figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a British Army ambulance in 1:48 scale from the Japanese brand Tamiya. The model faithfully captures the shape of the two-ton 4x2 vehicle, with a body and chassis derived from a truck platform. The box contains a driver figure and a decal sheet with Red Cross markings for the roof, the sides and the rear doors, and with several marking options.
The ambulance was derived from a civilian truck and was adapted in cooperation with the medical service. The benches in the body could be converted into two-tier stretcher berths for carrying the wounded. The vehicle served during the Second World War in France, North Africa, Italy and in Western Europe after the Normandy landings, and it could be seen with ground units as well as on airfields.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints. We recommend a base coat of primer and spraying with an airbrush. The Red Cross markings stand out on a smooth gloss coat under the decals; a final matte coat will unify the surface. It is worth finishing the interior of the body and the driver figure before the bodywork is closed up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
