Quickboost 1:48 C-47 Dakota engines is a resin accessory with finely cast radial engines for a plastic model of this transport aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand replaces the engines of a plastic kit with faithfully cast resin parts with a well worked structure of the radial engine cylinders. Once painted they raise the realism of the front of the engine nacelles markedly. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model but an accessory for an existing kit.
The Douglas C-47 Dakota was a twin-engine military transport and airborne aircraft derived from the civil DC-3. It was powered by two air-cooled radial engines. It was among the most widespread transport aircraft of the Second World War and served with a number of Allied air arms long after the war as well.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the engines well and bring them out with a wash before the nacelles are closed, because the front row of cylinders stays clearly visible once the model is assembled. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is a resin accessory for more experienced modelers, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
