A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the engine cowlings of the American twin-engine Douglas C-47A Skytrain transport aircraft in 1:48 scale. It brings correctly shaped cowlings for the radial engines that fix an inaccuracy in the parts from the box and match the real machine more faithfully. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The engine cowlings decide the character of the front of the nacelles, and their correct shape and cross-section strongly affect the impression of the whole model. The resin replacement refines the outline of the cowlings and the intake lip and removes the mismatch of the plastic parts. Once cleaned up and painted they blend into the nacelles without any jarring transitions.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
