A civilian figure item from the range of Dynamo-Models for 1:48 scale. According to the name this is the figure of a deliveryman, that is a civilian motif added to a diorama as a complement to the action. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a finished scene with a base, but a standalone figure item the modeler sets into a composition of his own.
Military dioramas tend to be technically perfect but dull until there are people in them who simply live there. A deliveryman, a craftsman or a housewife give a view its time and place: from their dress and their activity the viewer sees that the scene is set in an inhabited place and not on a training ground. The brand's range concentrates mainly on the European setting of the 1940s, so the civilian figures go well with the other items of the same series.
Place a civilian figure so that it has an evident reason to be moving in the scene - at a door, by the wall of a house, at the edge of a road. Try several angles dry and only then attach the figure. When painting civilian motifs watch out for muted shades of fabric; colors that are too saturated read like a toy in 1:48 scale. Lightening the edges and light shading of the folds will do more than an excess of detail.
