Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed accessory set of engines for the American Consolidated B-24J Liberator heavy bomber in 1:48 scale. The set is made by direct 3D printing in resin and contains four richly detailed radial engines that will replace the simplified plastic parts of the kit. It is not an airplane model in its own right but an upgrade of the powerplants.
The four-engine Liberator has its engines clearly visible and their execution markedly affects the impression the model makes. 3D printing captures the fine structure of the cylinders, the drives and the accessories that injected plastic cannot achieve. The set is ideal for a build with partly exposed nacelles.
Wash the uncured print resin residue off the parts and separate them from the print supports. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. Paint the engines in metal and gray shades, bring the cylinders out with a dry brush and add a wash effect for a three-dimensional look.
A resin accessory set. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
