Exotic Decals 1:48 Croatian Ultimate Fighter, part 2: Black 4 is a decal set with the markings of the Bf 109 G in Croatian service. It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set in 1:48 scale from the open series devoted to Messerschmitt Bf 109 G airplanes in Croatian service. This part is the second in the series and is focused on the machine with the tactical marking black 4. It is not a kit: the decals are applied to a model that is already built and painted, and that model is obtained separately.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G, nicknamed Gustav, was the most widespread development family of the German single-engined fighter. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 V12 engine, and compared with the older versions it had a strengthened structure, more prominent covers over the cylinder heads and revised armament. Besides the Luftwaffe, machines of this family were used by a number of other operators, among them Croatian units. The set captures the markings of one specific airplane, so it suits modelers who are building an individual machine rather than a generic type.
These are classic waterslide decals. First apply a gloss clear coat to the model, because on a matte surface silvering would remain under the decal. Cut the decal out as close to the motif as possible, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it stand until it releases from the backing paper. Then slide it into place, add a drop of water so that it can be moved and blot off the excess with absorbent paper. Use a decal softener to settle it into the engraved panel lines and the rivets, do not move the decal while it dries and pierce any bubbles with the tip of a scalpel. Once it has dried, seal the whole model with varnish in the gloss level you want, and the edges of the decals will disappear.
The set contains only decals. The kit, paints, varnish and decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
