This detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, from the PRINT range, is made by direct 3D printing in resin. It contains the wheel bays for a model of the Curtiss P-40E fighter, including a representation of the canvas covers. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that raises the level of detail on the underside of the fuselage and the wing.
It replaces the standard plastic parts with a finely printed resin version with deeper structure and a more faithful rendering of the canvas covers. The result is a more realistic view into the open landing gear bays of a finished model.
