Tamiya 1:48 De Havilland Mosquito B Mk.IV/PR Mk.IV is a plastic kit of the famous British wooden multirole aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Tamiya of Japan allows the twin-engine De Havilland Mosquito to be built either as the B Mk.IV bomber version or as the PR Mk.IV reconnaissance version. The characteristic features of both versions, such as the glazed nose, the bulge of the canopy and the crew entry hatch with a ladder, are faithfully rendered. Parts for the bombs of the bomber version and the cameras of the reconnaissance version are enclosed, along with two pilot figures and several marking options.
The De Havilland Mosquito was a British multirole twin-engine aircraft of largely wooden construction, nicknamed the Wooden Wonder. The reconnaissance version was deployed from the summer of 1941, the B Mk.IV bomber from the spring of 1942. The Mosquito earned respect for its speed and versatility and stood alongside the Spitfire and the Lancaster.
Attach the clear parts with a cement for clear parts or a special cement for transparent plastics so they do not fog. Finish the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up. For a faithful look an airbrush and a fine emphasis on the panel lines are the way to go.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
