The figure is shaped into a seated pose for the cockpit space, and the MB Mk.10Q seat is given with it in the title. India is one of the countries whose version the manufacturer carries in this range as a separate item, so the customer can pick one specific version and not mix them together.
India brought the Mirage 2000 into service in the middle of the 1980s, and the machines then went through an extensive avionics upgrade after which the characteristic shape of the airframe remained but the inside of the cockpit changed. For a modeler that means one and the same type offers several different building subjects, depending on which period is chosen.
Before you reach for the glue, set the model in the position you will display it in and look at the figure over the edge of the cockpit from the viewer's point of view. You will see how much of it will be exposed in the end and can decide from that where to put the most work. Usually it is enough to work the helmet, the shoulders and the upper chest carefully. The lower part of the figure will manage with a base tone and an unobtrusive shadow.
