A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale for models of the Fokker D.VII fighter biplane in postwar Finnish service. It offers markings for two machines, and masks for the national insignia and the canopy framing tend to be included as well. It is not a kit but an accessory for the plastic model of your choice.
The Fokker D.VII was among the best fighters of the First World War: it stood out for its stability, its handling and its good behavior at high angles of attack. After the war these machines served in a number of European countries. The Finnish Air Force took them into its inventory in the interwar period, when they carried the Finnish blue swastika national insignia (a Finnish symbol of the period, unconnected with its later meaning), which makes them an unusual and attractive subject in terms of color.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish. Dip the piece you have cut out briefly in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing onto the model, fine-tune the position and blot the excess water away. Use a decal softener to make them cling to the details, and clear-coat the surface at the end. On the fabric-covered surfaces, take care that the decal follows the ribs. Lay the masks supplied on clean varnish and spray the color through them.
This is a decal set on its own. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
