A resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit of the German Dornier Do 335 Pfeil heavy fighter with a faithfully cast interior: a cockpit tub, an instrument panel, sidewalls and a seat with belts. It is intended for kits of this aircraft in 1:48 scale and markedly refines the interior detail against the plastic from the box.
The Do 335 Pfeil (arrow) was a German heavy fighter of the end of the Second World War with an unusual arrangement of two engines in tandem: one drove a tractor propeller in the nose, the other a pusher propeller at the tail. This solution lowered drag and made the Pfeil one of the fastest piston aircraft of its day. Only a handful of machines were completed before the end of the war.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Lay down a base primer before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
