This is a detail accessory, not an airplane model. The set contains resin barrels for the onboard cannon in the correct shape and setting for the A-4M Skyhawk. It replaces the plastic parts, whose shape tends to be simplified, and delivers a concentric, precisely cast barrel with an open muzzle.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was a light carrier-based attack aircraft, valued for its simplicity, its agility and its low operating costs. The A-4M was one of the most capable late variants, flown by the US Marine Corps. The aircraft carried a pair of built-in 20 mm cannon in the wing roots.
Separate the barrels from the casting block and clean the surface up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bring out the metal look with a metallic paint or with graphite, blacken the muzzles and emphasize them lightly with a dark wash for a burnt effect.
This is an accessory for plastic models. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
