A photo-etched set of landing flaps from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the American Douglas TBD-1 Devastator carrier torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale. The set makes it possible to show the flaps in the lowered position with the fine internal structure that plastic parts cannot faithfully capture.
The Douglas TBD-1 Devastator was the first all-metal carrier torpedo bomber of the US Navy. Although it was already obsolete when war broke out, it played a tragically famous part in the Battle of Midway. Lowered flaps are among the characteristic features of the aircraft parked on a deck.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
