Replacement position and navigation lights for an F-104 Starfighter model in 1:48 scale, in the early version.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is a supersonic fighter that differs from its contemporaries at first glance: it has a slender fuselage and an unusually short, thin wing with sharp leading edges. That is exactly why every small protrusion on the outline stands out on a model, the lights included. The word early in the name refers to the early version, which differs from the later machines in these details; which versions the set covers is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
This accessory from the Quickboost line replaces the position and navigation lights on a kit. The parts from the kit tend to be coarser in these places and their outline gets lost under a layer of paint, whereas a separate replacement part keeps its sharp shape. The set answers one place on the model, so it goes together with other accessories and with your own reworking.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder back, so that the part seats with no gap. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting. A really small amount of cyanoacrylate glue laid on with a pin is enough for gluing. The colors of the lights follow an established convention: red on the left, green on the right and white at the rear. It is worth laying a silver undercoat beneath the colored layer, which makes the light look as if it shines rather than staying a dull dot.
The kit of the aircraft, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
