This product is NOT an aircraft kit but a small aftermarket accessory. The set contains precisely cast resin air scoops – the cooling intakes on the engine nacelles – in 1:72 scale. It replaces the coarser plastic parts from the base kit with more faithful castings with thin walls and cleanly opened mouths. The manufacturer is the Czech firm Quickboost (a brand of the Aires family), which specializes in simple resin replacement parts ready for direct use.
The air scoops on the radial engines of the Wellington are prominently in view and in plastic they tend to be solid or thick-walled. The resin parts of this set have realistically hollowed mouths and crisper outlines, so that once painted they read more convincingly to scale. Intended for models of the Vickers Wellington Mk. Ic in 1:72 scale.
First wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Carry out the sanding with respiratory protection. Fill the transitions to the plastic and spray them with primer before the final painting.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
