It replaces the cockpit tub, the instrument panel, the side panels and the ejection seat with a more faithful and finer execution. Aires cockpit sets tend to be supplemented with photo-etched parts and an instrument film - check the exact contents of the package.
An open cockpit is one of the most closely watched places on a model of a fighter. Resin castings carry fine detail of the control stick, the levers, the panels and the seat that injected plastic does not reach. For the seating it is usually necessary to adapt, that is sand away, the inside of the fuselage of the base kit.
Wash the resin parts first in lukewarm soapy water to remove the remains of the mold release agent, carefully cut the casting blocks off and sand the cut surfaces lightly. They are glued exclusively with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Sanding resin creates dust harmful to health, so work with respiratory protection.
