This is a resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set replaces the space of the internal bomb bay of a plastic kit of the F-117A Nighthawk with faithfully cast bay walls, racks and doors that can be opened. It makes it possible to show the bomb bay open with its internal fit visible, which looks very striking on a finished model.
The F-117A Nighthawk is an American single-seat aircraft designed with the emphasis on low observability. For the sake of a smooth outer line it carried its armament hidden inside the fuselage, in a closable internal bomb bay. An open bomb bay with its internal fit is therefore one of the most interesting details that can be rendered on a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut off the casting blocks. Bond resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. Before the fuselage is closed, check how the bay walls and the doors seat. Paint and weather the inside of the bomb bay before the final assembly, when access is easiest.
