1:48 F-15 Eagle – weighted wheels is a 3D printed resin set with realistically flattened tires for a model of the heavy fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket detail set in 1:48 scale, not an airplane model. It brings the main and the nose wheel 3D printed in resin with load applied: the tire has a faithfully flattened contact patch and a bulging sidewall, thanks to which a standing Eagle model looks convincingly heavy. The wheels replace the plastic parts of the kit.
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is a twin-engine heavy air superiority fighter, one of the most successful of its kind. Its rugged landing gear carries the considerable weight of the aircraft, so markedly loaded tires are one of the typical features of a machine on the ground.
Wash the wheels to remove uncured print resin residue, separate them from the print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Orient the flat spot straight down to the ground. Paint the tires matte rubber black, set the hubs apart in a metallic or a light shade and bring them out gently with dust.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
