Painting masks F-15E Strike Eagle 1:48 (Eduard)

A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for building the McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft. The masks are applied to the cockpit glazing and to the wheels; after spraying they lift off easily and leave clean, sharp transitions with no paint bleeding under them.

The real subject

The McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle is an American two-seat multirole fighter and strike aircraft. It came about by developing an air superiority fighter into a versatile platform able to carry out demanding ground strikes in all weather as well. It is powered by a pair of powerful engines, carries an extensive weapons load and remains one of the key combat aircraft of the US Air Force.

Use

• Transfer the masks carefully onto clean, degreased glazing and press them down so that they adhere well.
• We recommend spraying the color of the inner framing first, then the final covering shade.
• Apply the paint in thin coats with an airbrush, so that it does not run under the edge of the mask.
• Once dry, peel the masks off carefully, ideally with the tip of a knife or with tweezers.

Who the set is for

• For modelers who want to save time masking and to get sharp edges.
• For builders of this type of aircraft in 1:48 scale.
• For beginners and advanced builders who prefer spraying to painting the frames by hand.

The set contains self-adhesive painting masks made of kabuki tape; the model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
