A set of cut masking templates for a model of the F/A-18E carrier-based aircraft in 1:48 scale. The templates are stuck straight onto the model, so the boundary of the sprayed finish does not have to be traced with tape or cut freehand.
The F/A-18E is a carrier-based multirole aircraft which came about by enlarging an older machine of the same family. It has a larger wing, angular air intakes and two turbofan engines; it serves for fighter and attack duties from the deck of an aircraft carrier. For a modeler, the most demanding part of it is precisely the cockpit glazing, because the frames are narrow and run across a markedly domed canopy.
For builders of modern carrier-based aircraft in 1:48 scale who want the glazing frames crisp and of the same width along their whole length. It saves hours of work with tape and a knife and the result is more even than can be achieved by cutting by hand.
The package contains masking templates. The kit and the paints are not included, unless stated otherwise.
