A 3D-printed resin set of the exhaust nozzles of the F-35B Lightning II fighter in the configuration for vertical landing, in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory from Reskit that replaces the plastic parts with faithful resin with deep, crisp relief.
The F-35B is the version of the fifth-generation fighter with short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL). In the vertical mode the main nozzle swivels downward and, together with the lift fan, allows the aircraft to hover and land on the spot. This set reproduces the nozzle in exactly that deflected position.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them from the print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand with respiratory protection. Spray the nozzle with primer and apply heat-tinted metal shades with an airbrush; the scorching and the hints of heat coloring raise the realism.
This is a resin accessory; the set does not contain the model itself, the paints or the glue, unless stated otherwise.
