1:48 F-4 E/EJ/G Phantom II - a masking sheet for the landing gear bays, cut for the kit from Zoukei Mura.
Responsibility details are not available.
A painting aid for the landing gear bays of F-4 machines in the E, EJ and G versions. The shapes are adapted to the kit from Zoukei Mura, and an otherwise identically named set is cut for another maker's kit, so check which box you are building before you pick one.
The EJ version is the Japanese counterpart of the E, built under license by Mitsubishi for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. It differed from the American original mainly in equipment, because the Japanese machines were meant solely for the defense of their own territory. They served for an unusually long time and some of them went through a life-extension program that gave them new avionics. The other two versions in the name round out the picture of the late development line: the E with a permanently installed cannon and the G modified for fighting the radars of an air-defense network.
On newer kits the landing gear bays tend to be richly subdivided and full of small raised details. It is therefore worth dry-fitting the pieces first to see whether they sit, and only then putting them down for good. Choose a thinner paint so that it does not build up around the edges and bury the fine relief.
