The set holds resin landing gear doors for a model of the McDonnell Douglas F-4B/N Phantom II jet in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory of the Quickboost brand (Aires) that replaces the plastic doors of the landing gear bays with more faithful and thinner castings with a stronger detail. This is not an aircraft model but a detail set.
The F-4B and F-4N versions were the carrier-based variants of the Phantom II operated by the US Navy. The doors of the landing gear bays have a rich structure on the inside that the plastic from the box can only manage in a simplified way. Thin resin parts allow a more faithful rendering of the extended landing gear.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, separate them from the casting blocks and seat them at the landing gear bays. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways and ventilate the room while sanding resin.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
