A detail accessory, not an airplane model. The set replaces the engine exhaust nozzles at the rear of the fuselage with resin castings. According to the name it is meant for the early versions of the Phantom, that is the naval B and N and the machines of the C and D series, in 1:48 scale.
The rear end of a twin-engine aircraft is always a problem area on a model. An injection-molded nozzle is made of two halves, so a seam appears right on the most exposed edge, which is hard to sand and is visible along its whole length. The wall has to be thick because of the mold, so the trailing edge never looks as crisp as on the real machine, and the inside tends to be a plain smooth cone with no internal plating. A resin nozzle is cast as one piece, without a seam, with a thin edge and with relief inside. Because this is the place you look at most often on a finished model, this replacement is among those that show fastest.
The castings tend to be attached to the casting block on their rear face. Separate them with a fine-toothed saw, level the face on abrasive paper on a flat support and try dry how the nozzles seat on the fuselage; usually the plastic end of the engine nacelle has to be shortened or reworked. Before painting, wash the castings in warm water with detergent so that the mold release agent disappears. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The nozzles are painted as a metal surface: a dark primer as the base, then metal shades with slightly differing sheen by segment, because an unbroken silver area looks flat. Darken the inside and grade it toward the edge, as soot tends to be heaviest at the trailing edge. Sand wet and with your breathing protected.
