1:48 F-89 Scorpion, stencils for the glazing outside and inside. For a two-seat interceptor with a richly divided canopy.
Responsibility details are not available.
A double-sided set of painting stencils for the clear parts of the F-89 aircraft. It covers the framing outside and inside, which tells the most with glazing as broken up as this. The source kit is apparent from the name of the item.
The Scorpion came about directly for the task of intercepting a bomber at night and in bad weather, so it was not a converted fighter. The crew consisted of a pilot and a radar operator sitting one behind the other, the straight wing carried a large pod at each tip and the horizontal tail was set high on the fin. Later versions carried unguided rockets and one of them went down in history as the first aircraft to fire a rocket with a nuclear warhead in a live test. The silhouette with the long nose and the wide fuselage is unmistakable.
Modelers who have taken on a machine with a so-called greenhouse and do not want to spend several evenings over it with a knife. On this type the time saved is the greatest in the whole category, because there really are a lot of bars. It is also suitable for collections aimed at night and all-weather machines of the 1950s.
