This set from Aires in 1:48 scale replaces the stock cockpit of a plastic F-8J Crusader model. It holds resin parts, with cockpit sets as a rule rounded off with photo-etched details and an instrument panel film. It is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model.
The Vought F-8 Crusader is an American single-seat carrier-based fighter. The F-8J version was among the upgraded machines of the later part of its service life, with improved avionics and changes to the wing. The Crusader is known for its variable-incidence wing, which eased both take-off and landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Dry-fit the replacement cockpit tub against the walls of the model before closing the fuselage.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
