A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the exhaust pipes of the Japanese Mitsubishi F1M observation and reconnaissance biplane floatplane, known to the Allies as Pete, in 1:48 scale. The form matches the early F1M1 version. The casting brings a faithful shape and open exhaust outlets, which are hard to create in the plastic from the box. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The exhausts are clearly visible on the engine and their shape and open ends strongly affect the impression of a finished model. The resin casting captures the fine texture and the hollow outlets, so once painted and lightly weathered it looks entirely faithful. It replaces the simplified parts of the base kit with no need for laborious drilling of the outlets.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
