F4U Corsair Diamond Thread Wheels set 1:48 is a set of resin wheels with a diamond tread pattern for models of the Vought F4U Corsair fighter.

This set of precisely cast resin wheels replaces the plastic parts from an ordinary kit of the Vought F4U Corsair carrier fighter. The tires carry the period diamond tread pattern that was historically found on Corsairs. The accurate hub and the faithful structure of the tire lift the look of the landing gear.
The Vought F4U Corsair, with its characteristic gull wing, was one of the most successful American carrier fighters of the Second World War and of the Korean conflict. The tires were made with different tread patterns during its service, which is why Brengun makes the wheels in several versions; this one has the diamond pattern.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the tires matte, set the hubs apart in color and dust the whole assembly lightly for a realistic, weighted look.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
