Responsibility details are not available.
A set of color decals for the cockpit of F/A-18E, F/A-18F and EA-18G models in 1:48 scale. These are not resin or photo-etched parts but printing on decal film that is applied to the plastic cockpit parts from the kit. The set is cut for a particular Hasegawa kit, so before you buy, check which mold you are building. The exact extent of the sheet is given on the box.
The cockpit of a modern carrier fighter is full of color displays and lettered consoles that are very hard to paint in 1:48 scale. A decal set transfers a whole panel including the fine lettering and symbols in one go and so raises the level of the most visible part of the model at a stroke, especially if you are building with the canopy open.
Spray the cockpit parts with the base shade first and let them cure, then go over the areas under the decal with a gloss coat. Cut the individual elements out close to the printing and lay them down one at a time, because the panels have complicated outlines. A decal softener is essential here: it helps the film settle into the molded buttons and into the engraved outlines of the displays, but apply it in small amounts and do not move the part. Once dry, go over the cockpit with a matte coat so that the instruments do not stay unnaturally glossy. The display screens can on the contrary be touched up with a spot of gloss coat. Try everything dry before you close the fuselage up.
This is a cockpit decal set, not a kit and not resin parts. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
