This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Roden captures the armed version AU-23A Peacemaker. The box holds gray plastic, clear parts and a decal sheet. The model is built from individual sprues and is meant to be glued and painted.
The Fairchild AU-23A Peacemaker was the American license version of the Swiss STOL aircraft Pilatus Porter, adapted for the role of a light combat and counter-insurgency machine. It was marked by its ability to take off and land in a short distance, by a side-firing gun and by the option of carrying an external load. The aircraft were tested in Southeast Asia and subsequently handed over to an allied military.
Use liquid cement for plastic and seat the cockpit glazing and the optionally open doors carefully. Apply a primer before painting and put the matte tactical shades on with an airbrush. Render the armament and the external pylons according to the scheme you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
