A colored photo-etched instrument panel in 1:48 scale for the cockpit of the middle versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A. It is a finished detail accessory, not an aircraft model: the part is in fine metal etch, factory-painted and provided with faithful dials and instrument labels. It comes in a self-adhesive version, so it is placed straight into the pilot's compartment without any spraying or hand painting.
The middle versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A (A-5 to A-7) followed on from the success of the early series and brought changes to the airframe and a strengthened armament. They were powered by the BMW 801 radial engine, and the aircraft nicknamed the Würger was one of the mainstays of the German fighter force in the middle phase of the war.
Cut or sand the original instrument panel from the kit down flat, so that the photo-etched part seats. Peel the backing film off and press the panel into place; on larger parts a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. For maximum depth the dials can be dropped with clear resin or gloss varnish, which imitates the glass of the gauges. Work with the fine etch using tweezers and clean fingers.
This is a detail accessory for a cockpit, not a complete model. The base kit and paints are not included in the package.
