Responsibility details are not available.
This item is a vacuum-formed clear canopy in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Rob Taurus. It is NOT an aircraft kit but a replacement cockpit part for a model of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in its D version, nicknamed the Dora. The clear thin-walled material gives glazing that is truer to scale and cleaner than thicker production parts.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D was a high-altitude fighter of the end of the Second World War with a lengthened fuselage and the liquid-cooled Junkers Jumo 213 inverted V12 engine, which gave it its characteristic longer nose. It is among the most prized variants of this type.
Cut the canopy out slightly outside the outline and sand it down to an exact fit. Bond it with clear glue for transparent parts or with thin gel super glue so that nothing fogs. Mask the frames before spraying. The thin material also makes it possible to show the cockpit open.
This is a standalone accessory (the canopy), not a complete model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
