This is not a kit nor a resin accessory. It is a set of self-adhesive masking templates, machine cut into shapes that match the glazing of a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D model in 1:48 scale. The templates are cut to fit one particular kit, which the name of the product gives - on another kit of the same type the outlines need not match.
The framing of the canopy is one of the first places a person looks at on a finished model. Painting it with a brush leaves a slightly wavy edge behind, and a decal for the frames adds a layer of glossy film that breaks up on curved glazing. A frame sprayed through a mask has the same color and the same surface texture as the rest of the airframe, so it does not look stuck on. The Fw 190 D was a late version of the German single-seat fighter with a liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine, and you can tell it from the radial-engined versions of the A series by its markedly lengthened nose and tail.
First wash and degrease the glazing, otherwise the mask will not take hold. Lift it off the sheet with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel, settle it in the middle of the panel and only then press the edges down with a toothpick - pressure on the edge is exactly what decides whether paint bleeds. Spray several very thin layers; one heavy one will always soak under the edge of the mask. Take it off soon after the paint has dried, not weeks later, and pull it back over itself at a sharp angle, not perpendicularly upward.
The package contains masking templates only. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
