A resin set of replacement main landing gear wheels from RESArm. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D fighter in 1:48 scale. The tires are shaped slightly flattened where they touch the ground, which faithfully imitates the way they sag under the weight of the aircraft on the ground. The hubs and the tread pattern are finely engraved.
The Fw 190 D, nicknamed Dora, was the high-altitude development of the Fw 190 fighter with a lengthened engine cowling for an inverted V12 engine. It belonged to the high-performance German fighters of the closing stage of the Second World War.
Wash the mold release agent residue off the wheels, separate the casting blocks and clean up the mating surface. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Orient the flattening of the tire straight downwards. Paint the tire and the hub separately and bring the tread pattern out with a dry brush or a wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
