Eduard Brassin 1:48 Fw 190 late wheels is a resin detail set of replacement landing gear wheels for models of the Fw 190 fighter. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that raises realism.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Czech maker Eduard contains, in 1:48 scale, a pair of resin main landing gear wheels for models of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter, in the version with the late wartime tire tread pattern. It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket detail accessory replacing the plastic wheels from the original kit. The wheels are made as precise one-piece castings with fine detail on the hub and the brake assembly. A self-adhesive masking template for painting the rims is usually included in the package.
A resin casting carries sharper detail on the sidewall, the hub and the brakes than injection-molded plastic. The late type of tread matches machines from the end of the war and makes it possible to suggest realistic flattening of the tire where it meets the ground. The parts are designed as a direct replacement for the original kit wheel.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent in lukewarm water with dish soap. Cut the casting block off and sand the face with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, use the enclosed masks and paint the hub and the tire separately.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin detail set. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
