This product is not a kit but an aftermarket detail set. It contains 3D-printed, fully colored interior elements on thin carrier decal paper. They complete the cockpit of a model of the British Gloster Gladiator Mk.II fighter biplane in 1:48 scale with a convincing instrument panel, side consoles and cockpit details. The dimensions and shapes are based on the Roden kit.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last British fighter biplane of the RAF. Although modern monoplanes quickly overshadowed it at the start of the Second World War, it wrote itself into history with the tenacious defense of Malta and with the fighting in Norway and North Africa. The Mk.II version had a revised engine and propeller.
The part is cut out of the sheet, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the carrier paper into place. The elements have no adhesive layer of their own; they hold on the gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22) with which you coat the surface beforehand. On textured places a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin. The set replaces laborious photo-etch work and painting of the interior.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
